If you like contests, check out Robin's blog, she's having a contest and you can win an entire set of Adirondack stamp pads! wow!

The Last Post for My Google Adsense Earnings

In fairness to you guys, I would like to inform you that this will be my last post for my earnings from Google Adsense. I decided that this is it, because this is already the third time that I am going to prove to you that I am really earning from Google Adsense. Also, my goal to earn monthly from google is already achieved.

These were the links of my previous posts My First Check from Google Adsense and Anybody Can Really Earn. So now, for the last time and also as a proof, below is the screen shot of this particular payment details.

Google Adsense Earnings

If you notice the date of the payment it was prepared last April 24, 2008. Yet the statement of earnings was available only in my google adsense publisher's dashboard last April 26, 2008. So, on the following day that was last Sunday, I decided to try to claim that particular earnings to the Western Union Branch particularly the one inside the Gaisano Mall of Davao.

Guys, I tell you even on sunday you can claim your money from the Western Union. Google Adsense is really the best when it comes to paying their international publishers. And I would like to thank Google Adsense for using the facilities of the Western Union Quick Cash because it is really quick.

I am praying that I could maintain the monthly earnings and with hardwork I could increase the amount too. But, please accept my apology because those earnings will no longer be posted here. Sorry.. :(

So, Help Me God! Good Luck :)

i'm all a twitter

I caved and joined Twitter. After just one day I think I like it. So I added it to my blog sidebar. I think it will come in handy when I am traveling and can't update the blog but want to post something quick. We'll see if it stays there, but right now I am liking it.

Tomorrow (Wednesday) I am posting a contest! More later!

to twitter or not to twitter

Twitter seems to be everywhere lately. My buddies Jennifer Perkins, Margot Potter and Kathy Cano-Murillo AKA The Crafty Chica are Twittering ..... and my husband Paul seems to think it would be a great addition to my blog/site. We spent over an hour yesterday talking about it!

I am of two (well maybe three) minds. One hand it seems fun. The other, do I really need another thing to update? On the third hand, what do I Twitter about? Do people really want to read that I am stuck in line at Michael's Craft Store, or that I am craving Einstein's potato bagel (lightly toasted) with hummus?

Do you Twitter? Let me know if you like it and what you like about it!

live podcast tonight

I'll be on a live podcast with ZNE Blog Talk Radio hosted by Chelise, the founder of ZNE artists social networking group. You do not need to be a member of ZNE to listen and can text and call in questions too! I'll be on from 9:30pm-11pm EST. So stop by and join us! Here's the link. See you later!

weekend catch up

I was totally wiped out this weekend. All my plans of getting caught up on work that I missed while I was away last week went out the window! I didn't realize how tired I was until I got home. Then I totally crashed out. Yesterday I had a mega all day migraine-a-thon, took until this morning to go away. I didn't have a migraine all last week so I guess I was making up for lost time.

I have big plans for Monday -- we'll see how far I get with work. I just keep reminding myself one step at a time. It will all get done!!

My coach did recommend these new meditation downloads. I normally am a terrible mediator getting distracted or sometimes if the tape is guided and too "Stuart Smalley" it can send me into fits of giggles. But these ones are really good. The woman's voice is super relaxing and they seem to be working, I have been able to totally zone out while listening. Here's the link if you want to check it out. I have the free download and then also this one. But want to try others too! They have helped me relax! If I could just figure out how to get my ipod to stop at the end and not start playing something else, that would be perfect! Last night I drifted off but then was rudely awakened to Ira Glass from a This American Life episode that I downloaded! Oops!

cloth paper scissors magazine

I picked up the new May/June issue of Cloth Paper Scissors Magazine and they have a short little article with a visit to my studio!

Of course I am super proud that Toby is in the photo tongue out and looking cute. I remember I had to wake him up to take this picture so he wasn't very happy!

hello from the ranger offices!

Here's Michelle and I at the Ranger offices in front of her super fancy Mac computer. My husband Paul would be jealous if he saw how fab her computer is.

Michelle has been doing all the design for my new product line Ranger and we had tons of fun reviewing logos, colors and branding. She is a gal who really knows her design stuff!!

I also worked on my CHA Summer Show class with Robin and I think it's going to be a great class. A lot to get done in two hours but it'll be worth the push!

I'm excited to have lunch with Suze tomorrow, and then the chemist will be back in the office from his day off so we'll back at product testing! Sorry to be such a tease, I wish I could share more!! It is taking all my restraint not to.

Friday we'll do a little more work and then Friday night I'll be heading home. I can't believe how fast this week is going!

My first AdBrite Check

Actually, my first AdBrite check which just arrive today is not supposed to be the first one. It is already my second one. Confusing, isn't it? :()

Well, it is like this, my first check as payment for my publisher's earning from AdBrite was sent sometime on the first week of March 2008. And, as what AdBrite says, checks for international publishers will arrived at least 21 days after it was sent. However, a month had passed, that particular check did not arrive.

Then, I earn again! AdBrite is obliged to processed and sent the second check to me last April 03, 2008. Luckily, that second one arrive today. Of course, I considered it as my first AdBrite check - technically. Right?
Below is the image of the check and its envelope for your easy reference.
Making Money Online

I am sure you want to know what happen to the one did not arrive. I just sent an email to AdBrite last 2 weeks ago and inform them what happen. AdBrite support team replied that they immediately advise their bank to stop the payment for that particular check and safely return my money to my AdBrite earnings.

So, now I am expecting, that on the first week of May, my third check will be processed and this will be received by me on the last week of the same month. Hopefully! Good Luck!

i'm here!

I'm here in NJ! Had a busy day with an early flight, then got to the Ranger offices. Already met with the chemist about the products and looking forward to meeting and discussing and product testing more tomorrow. That's all I can tell you and it's killing me!!! I wish I should show you sneak peeks but I can't because I would be in big, big, big trouble --- soon July will be here and all will be revealed!

I learned something new today! Thank you Robin for showing me how to erase letters when I text message on my phone! I couldn't figure out how to do it so I would push all the excess letters to the end of my message so my texts would look like this:

hi how are you I am going to the store, need any milk asgifdrsaj

So now I can enter the 21st century and erase unwanted text letters!! I feel so modern! It still takes me 20 minutes to type out even the smallest sentence but I am learning!

off to new jersey!

I'm off early in the morning, heading to New Jersey to the Ranger offices to work on my product line! I have lots to pack between now and my early morning flight, so I'll see you from the road!!

A SunSilk Fashion Designer's Range

I got an email a week or so ago regarding this new limited edition range... and whilst I'm very selective about what I blog about, the products sure did intrigue me. It's a haircare x fashion collaboration between the brand SunSilk and three Australian designers who I would consider as being at the top of the Aussie fashion ladder- Collette Dinnigan, Alice McCall and Peter Morrissey.

In terms of quality, I'm haven't tried it so I have absolutely no idea, but the product contains crystal extracts for the "ultimate in shine". What I do know is that the bottles look fantastic and I'm a big sucker for appearances.
You really can't expect anything else from someone who does judge books by their covers? I mean, it has to look good on the bookshelf (in this case, the bathroom)!According to the SunSilk site, these designers were chosen as each had their own design principles and each:
embodied one of the looks- funky, pretty and sexy. Alice McCall epitomizes youthful cool that is somewhat funky and edgy. Collette's clothes are delicate and beautiful and this is how women feel when they wear them. Peter on the other hand, his garmets are ozzing with alluring glamor. Peter's garments are made to make a woman feel beautiful, sensual and sexy.
I think I like the Morrissey bottle the best- it's glam in an almost glittery- Versace- gone- gothic sort of way (the ballet pink of Dinnigan is sweet too) and will stand out in my bathroom...

engineer's guide to cats

This super charming and irresistible video by Paul Klusman has been making its way around the internet. I can not resist posting it here!

Love Oscar the cat's performance art, the corporal cuddling and have already tried the cat yodeling on Mabel on Stanley although they do not seem to want to participate! He's trying to get featured on YouTube's home page so click here after watching and post a comment on his video page asking You Tube to feature his video!!

new arrival

I waited with baited breath this afternoon for the delivery and installation of our new microwave.

Paul had picked it out while I was away teaching last weekend -- our old one started making a horrible grinding noise and since it is our most used appliance - a new one was quickly purchased.

I have to wonder why these range-hood microwaves are SO much more expensive than the counter top versions? Is it because of the little light at the bottom? the little vent fan? Ours doesn't even actually vent to anywhere, it just pretend vents with a little fan that goes no where -- so that can't be worth the extra money, can it? Anyway, there went $300 for the microwave and $85 for the install, but happily so, as it gets used way, way, way more than our oven!

Paul did a great job in his microwave selection duties. Big husband brownie points for him!

Hong Kong x Tokyo. A recap. Part II.

OK. Onto the Tokyo part of my trip. I stayed in Shinjuku, so I was in the Ginza/ Shinjuku/ Harajuku area quite a bit. And then, I went to the other shopping hot spot Shibuya as well. Akihabara for all my electronic/ techno needs (massive massive stores), sight seeing at Asakusa and a day trip to Yokohama. I won't bore you with the details, but it consisted of a whole lot of shopping, walking around and eating. You know- ramen and sushi and all that good authentic Japanese food. A special mention must be made for the Tsukiji fish market as the biggest wholesale fish and seafood market in the world. A tourist area for sure, but the food was fantastic. Long lines for a sushi breakfast- impossibly fresh and the best sushi I've ever tasted.

On the fashion front, Harajuku had these grand flagships so I went snap happy:
The signature black and white Chanel look reflected in the color scheme of the store. I love the color blocking and it's style is classic with a twist- an embodiment of the Chanel design principles.
The Louis Vuitton store, in my mind, takes its inspiration from domestic architecture. The roof of the building looks like the modern house and whilst I don't think it's the most glamorous Louis flagship in the whole of Tokyo (the one at Roppongi beats this in terms of design hands down)... I sure won't mind living here.

This next one was snapped at Ginza. The Lanvin store. It's quirky and I like that. It stands out from your standard store fronts because of the black.
I don't really know what else to write so I'll leave it at that (I think it's because I've been here quite a few times already). Preview: the next holiday recap post goes to my shopping loot!

Making Money Online

It is exactly one year when I created this blog. I choose the title "STENTORIZED" because stentor means somebody loud: somebody with a loud powerful voice. So this blog means a Blog with a powerful voice. That was I explained in my first post entitled The Creation of Stentorized Blog.

"STENTORIZED" - It is a new term which I created from the root word stentor. The word Stentorized is not yet registered in the search engine during that time. However, the word Stentor, has 2.8M plus results in the google search engine alone.

It was my purpose to write my personal opinion or review for whatever topics which I want to write here in my blog. But the big twist here is that it is STENTORIZED meaning it is my loudest personal opinion and review.

But as the time goes by, this blog evolves to a new purpose and dimension that is to make money online without spending even a dime while blogging. And indeed, it is really making money for me. Just enough to help me pay my household bills.

So, the new anchor text for this blog is now Making Money Online - Stentorized. Good Luck!

exhausted

I had big plans of getting lots done but things aren't happening that way.

mabel_sleepyLR

Apparently I have had a reaction to the antibiotic (Cipro) I have been taking for this never ending sinus infection that I just can't shake. I was wondering why I couldn't sleep and was feeling jittery all the time. I kept blaming all the antihistamines I was taking. I was barely getting 3 or 4 hours of sleep a night for the past week and it's made my blood pressure all crazy. Now I've stopped taking it I can hardly move I am so tired. Tomorrow I'm going back to the Dr to address the sinus infection and see what to take next. I am almost reluctant to try anything new at this point. Maybe take a rest from drugs for a little bit!

I think I am going to go to bed really early tonight and then see if I can manage to get some work done tomorrow. I am feeling a little desperate about getting work done but I know if I try to work now I will only make a mess of things and then I will get frustrated.

I am off to bed!

catching up!

Lots of work and only a few days to get it done! I am only in town this week then on Monday I head up to New Jersey to the Ranger offices to work with them on my product line, I'll be up there almost a whole week! I'm excited but also sad to be leaving home again.

So I am in headless chicken mode, finishing up custom artwork orders, working on CHA Summer class ideas, and various other things I have on the burner.

Tomorrow I will be getting our niece her first communion present, and our other niece, Madison her 2nd birthday present, also something for me to wear to Maiya's first communion this Sunday (I can't wear jeans!), and I think there is something else I am forgetting. Whew deep breaths!

The Uline.com catalog came in the mail today. I love reading that thing. Am I the only weirdo who thinks it's relaxing to look at a catalog full of cardboard boxes and packing tape while I lay in bed?

I'm home!

I am home!! The Inspired event was super duper amazing every spare minute was jam packed with classes and learn and I have never seen so many smiling faces!

Donna pulled off a first time event like no other. I have been to a lot of first time events and this was flawless.

And let me tell you about the goodies!!! Aprons, jewelry, roses for the teachers and the students, super cute bags, the swag was incredible. I have never been so spoiled.

And the students were too sweet showering me with gifties. It was too much!

The days were longer than what I am used to when I usually teach --- packing in as much class time as possible, but the smiles and excitement got me through!

I had two of the most amazing assistants ever (thank you ladies -- you saved me!!!)

I got to spend time with friends like Kal, Christina, Ali, and meet super cool gals like Heather Bailey (Must have her hair thingies!) Took a lovely cab ride to the airport with Tena and made a new friend who lives here in Orlando -- hi Lori!! Saw some buddies from the SwitchBoards and from ScrapinStyleTv.com.

I am beat!! But the good news is --- I did not get one migraine! I think this new higher dosage of Topamax is working. Normally I would have had at least one a day under teaching and travel etc. So I am very hopeful this might actually be working.

Now I am off to watch TV, rest and then lots of catch up tomorrow. On my DVR is Rock of Love (will Daisy win?!) and HBO's John Adams. I love the dichotomy of seeing one trashy mindless show next to a brainy show in my list. The big question is which one will I watch first?

So Next Top Model does produce winners!

I couldn't believe my ears- Tyra Banks' Top Model franchise really does produce top models! The AusNTM cycle 3 winner, Alice Burdeu, went on to rock the AW08 runways... and I don't mean just the smaller designers either- I'm talking Lanvin! Louis Vuitton! Alexander McQueen! Proenza! Ann Demeulemeester! All that good stuff for her first runway season. Ironic considering how Jodhi Meares (the AusNTM judge) reacted terribly unprofessional manner when Alice was made the winner (she was a big fan of the runner up) and how Australia was screaming about how terrible Alice is in the model weight debate.

But I'm sure you realize all that. What I find of utmost importance in her growing list of accomplishments is that she is going to be shooting her first major campaign for D&G Autumn Winter 2008 with Testino! I am definitely looking forward to it! From what I can see, it's only her and Ksenia of Russia's Next Top Model who have made it big. Ksenia gradually gained enough momentum after a few seasons to score a spot in the Gucci campaign line up alongside Lily D, Abbey Lee (an Aussie!), Kasia and Masha N!

If that's not good for NTM, I don't know what is. I just don't understand America's Next Top Model (aka the original Tyra led version). You'd think with Tyra's experience the presence of the girls would be stronger...

inspired!!

The first day of Donna Downey's Inspired event is over and it was super great -- Loving getting a chance to spend some extra time with Christina too! Off to get some rest for another big teaching day tomorrow. More later!

Post Exchanges

As my first Post Exchanges for Smorty, I am given the task to review or post something about the blog of Steve Allen entitled "news plus". And the blog title says it all. This is regarding the news mostly about celebrities such as actresses, singers, and other personalities. There are also news from international scenes. So, News Plus is a blog about news written by radio presenter and stand-up comic Steve Allen.

This is my first time to visit Steve Allen's blog courtesy of smorty post exchange program. Hope this program will serves its purpose in gaining backlinks for our respective blogs which we enrolled in smorty.

And I would like to congratulate Steve Allen for the reason that his blog is the first of the so many blogs that I am going to review in the near future. Because by doing so, this blog of mine will gain a review by one of the member of smorty. So, the program is about review me and I will review you. Good Luck!

more studio photos!

Took some more photos from my studio today, maybe this will become a regular thing!

studio_paper_towel_holder

This is where I keep my paper towels. I used wire to hold the paper towels to the card table. it is very handy. Every time I think of getting a "real" table (like this one) I think of how I love my paper towel holder. I also hold my gift wrapping tissue that I wrap my orders in the same way to the right. Plus I have had these card tables since 1993, they have some arty miles on them.

studio_baby_canvas
These are little mini canvases are 2"x2" aren't they CUTE!!! They came from MacPherson's (manufacturer) but you'll find them in your store under the name Art Alternatives.

studio_stanely
Is that a giant cat or just a mini canvas? It's Stanley by one of these little 2x2 canvases I just got. And they even come with mini easels! even cuter! Love how I got Stanley sticking his tongue out!

studio_paper_car

I am playing around with trying to make a 3-d paper car and other paper elements this is my first attempt out of notebook paper and lots and lots of tape. I am not good at anything that requires exactness, but there in lies its charm (or at least that's what I tell myself).

studio_suitcase

My suitcase! Overflowing as you can see! Almost all packed for my trip on Thursday to teach at Donna Downey's Inspired event!

rev it up!

Maria Hammon interviewed me for the Rev it Up List. A great interview!! Find out how many times I changed clothes the day of the Martha Stewart Show, my favorite cereal, my teenage crush and more! Check it out here!

fun fun fun!

I had a busy and fun day at the opening reception. Saw lots of friends and my mom came with me which was super wonderful. Will post pictures tomorrow. And the good news is today was the first day since Wednesday Tuesday without a migraine. Yay for that! I am exhausted. I have some packaging and shipping to do and then off to relax.

ATC Quarterly Zine

Thanks to ATC Quarterly Zine for the great write article in their spring issue! They allowed me to post it here to my blog. Click the image below to enlarge and read!

PayPal Donation Button

While reading Brian Gorrel's blog, I learned that a lot of people all over the world sympathized on his sad experiences with people whom he trusted. And according to him, a lot of his readers are sending him money through PayPal Donation button which he installed in his blog. One of his sympathizers even sent him a whooping $1,000 U.S. dollar. Onetime! Wow! that is the power of a blog, my friend.

I envy Brian Gorrel because his PayPal Donation button is being used by a lot of people. They sent their donation money to help Brian recover his life's savings which he lost by trusting the money with his friend.
Sorry this envy of mine came from the notion that I need help also. :(

I had installed my PayPal Donation button for quite sometime now. Yet, nobody is sending me money even a dime... And the reason is I did not blog or post about why do I need the donations for or why somebody will donate for me. Silly, isn't it!??

Nope!... I did not do it because I do not believe before that there are generous people out there who are willing to spare their money to help other people through - PayPal.
But well, after reading Brian Gorrel's blog - The Talented Mr. Montano, my doubt was suddenly gone.

Hope, I have the guts to post or blog my pressing problem which only need a miracle to solve it by myself.

Maybe in HIS time... GodBless!

ouch

Headache. all.day.today. I don't think this Topamax stuff is working. I am about to give up on it. I really don't like having to take drugs every day especially if they don't work. Tomorrow I have a Craniosacral therapy appt. so maybe that will help. I hope so!!

And tomorrow night we are going to see John Edward the Crossing Over guy. I am so excited. We are hoping maybe Paul's Mom or Dad might stop in to say hi from the other side. Chances are slim, there will be like 300 people there. Still you never know!!!

WHAT? CDG for H&M?

My mouth was opening like a goldfish, and I am completely and utterly speechless. Why, you ask? I just found out that Comme des Garçons is doing a "range of womenswear, menswear, childrenswear and accessories and create a new unisex fragrance" for H&M- according to British Vogue. What other response would you have possibly expected from me? It's launching in November, with an exclusive Tokyo launch a few days before the worldwide launch... and there is no way that I will not be spamming the H&M website/TFS since I am dying to know how it's going to turn out!

And what led Rei Kawakubo to say yes? It's as simple as this:
I have always been interested in the balance between creation and business. It is a dilemma, although for me creation has always been the first priority. It is a fascinating challenge to work with H&M since it is a chance to take the dilemma to its extreme, and try to solve it.
which, in turn, reminds me of Andy Warhol's famous quote:
Making money is art and working is art and good business is the best art.
Never have I been this excited about a designer x mass retailer collaboration! You can feel it radiating off my words, can't you? If H&M was available in Australia, you can bet on it that I'd be lining up outside (as sad as that sounds, it's true...)

The Talented

I am so curious about the news of ABS-CBN regarding a blog authored by a somebody named Brian Gorrell. Curious!? because that TV Network is broadcasting about this news two days in a row already. Also, because I am a blogger too. :p

Well, that particular ABS-CBN news is talking about a certain Brian Gorrel, an australian, who was being scammed by his former filipino boyfriend. Accordingly Brian was being conned of his life's savings which is more or less $70,000.00 U.S. dollars by this filipino boyfriend. And his unique way to get even is to blog about it. In his blog he is now exposing the secret lives of several filipino personalities belonging to a high society. Curious!?

However, this post is not about the secret lives of those personalities but this is about the power of a blog. I could not imagine it until now. I have been blogging for more than two years already but I never realize that a blog could make or break the lives of anybody. That a blog could even make a TV network spare enough airtime to broadcast about it.

The Talented Mr. Montano. That is the title of the blog that Brian Gorrel created. I found this blog through google search while ago. And my curiosity grows as I read Brian Gorrel's blog. Curious!? I am still reading it. Good Luck! :-)

wednesday

Today I drove to The Daytona Beach Art League and dropped off all my artwork for the group show. If you are in the area on Sunday stop by for the opening reception!

A lot of driving for my car that barely goes anywhere. About 3 hours round trip. Then I had to go to Michaels, then Office Depot, then Target. That is a lot of errand running for me, usually I am tired after just one errand! After all that I had a huge mega-migraine!

I had to lay down for a few hours, now I am catching up on email and getting some work done, waiting for Paul to get home from work late tonight, last night he got home at 2:30am and we went to bed at 3:30. We are becoming complete night owls!!!

group show at the art league of daytona beach!

Mark your calendars Central Floridians!

This Sunday, April 6th from 1-4pm will be the opening reception of a group show titled "StoryTellers" at the Art League of Daytona Beach.

At the opening the artists will have tables there in addition to the exhibit and I will have one too! With a few books and various items for sale for that day only! Stop by even if it's just to say hi and chit chat!

Artists exhibiting include, Diana Barringer, Roben-Marie Smith, Brenda Ambrosino, Gail Russakov, and myself!

The exhibit will run through May 1st

Art League of Daytona Beach
433 South Palmetto Ave
Daytona Beach Fl 32114
www.artleague.org

PS. The local PBS Arts Connection filming went well. Kristen the host was such a sweetie and so nice! The camera guy was really easy going and didn't get all worried about the lighting like most camera guys seem to do. We were able to work with the blinds open! gasp!! When they filmed here for HGTV they were like "those blinds must close!!!" and then they muttered about the blinds for awhile. So I was very surprised the blinds could stay open and we had natural lighting. who knew!? oh!!! And they didn't mind that I wore tiny polka dots. I am glad I wore that shirt on this TV show because I'll probably never be allowed to wear it on any other show.

Afterwards I kept asking Paul over and over again," did I sound OK? are you sure I sounded OK?"

I think those things are like a big party where you have a good time while you are there chatting away but then later you go home and think about what you said and analyze it and wonder if it was stupid. Paul swears it was fine!
I'll let you know when it is going to air and there will also be an internet version for non locals. yay!
