Rachel's closet

Another walk in closet I wouldn't mind raiding is Rachel Bilson's. Dressed up or dressed down, she keeps her outfits easy, fresh and feminine. Not sure if it's a stylist's work or her own input, but I can't remember a bad look on this pretty petite. And so I've put some together that I had stored on my laptop.

Home, sweet home

One of the things that exudes your personal style has to be the space you live in. That's why I love peeking in to people's homes and wardrobes. And why I collect images like this to inspire me, that I like to show you every once in a while (the first home post that showed you what I liked, was here) As you can tell, I like clean spaces with some personal, quirky touches. And ever since my USA trip I became obsessed with having a booth somewhere in my house at some point.

Taylor's closet

I've admired Taylor Tomasi-Hill's personal style for years, and have grown even more fond of her after seeing her in person at Paris Fashion Week (including in that outfit in the last picture on the right). The easy going, joyful energy she gives off, her stunning hair, skin, posture and equally impressive wardrobe have made her one of my favorites. Taylor looks just as good in jeans and a blouse as in short skirts and heels and what I like about her is that she's but never completely glammed up. There's always an element that dresses everything down a bit, to keep an interesting balance.

From a place of love

A preview in the studio of fashion darling Pamela Love? Yes please! She opened up her doors to her work studio, as she once did with her home on the Selby. I love looking in to people's home and work place to get a feel of their character and way of working. It's interesting to see in which environment her beautiful jewelry is created and thought some of you might enjoy this as well :)

Le pantalon

For the lucky few blessed with endless legs - or those in possession of 5+ inch heels, like myself - there is nothing more style savvy this summer than a pair of wide legged pants. Chic and o, so grown up, they are ideal for hot days at the office or casual late night parties. In my mind I'm running through possible ensembles: with sleek blouses, high cut T's (Jil Sander-style), a printed or bright cardi or a loose tank with fedora. Bring it on!

I recently came across this 2009 editorial while surfing around, and remembered how much I loved it. The first picture actually was my screen saver for a while. Everything about this is just so right. It's out of this world - literally: some sort of outer space, desert shoot. And the fact that it's from ELLE magazine obviously makes me love it even more :P

Years ago Kate Bosworth appeared on my radar as the fresh faced that was dating Orlando Bloom. It took me little to no time to realize she had not only found herself a gorgeous man, I was envious of her wardrobe as well. With clean style, good eye for detail and a certain nonchalance, Kate became one of my favorite celebrity's to watch in the style department. So I thought I'd share some of my recent favorite outfits. Her in that mint Jill Sander skirt and clean white T, simply impeccable.

Home, sweet home

This morning I tweeted about a super cool tree house - every 8 year olds dream come true. Now that I'm a little older I still wouldn't mind packing my bags and moving in to that large tree house, but my vision of a dream home has changed. As so many girls out there, I like white spaces. Because I want to be able to have a fresh feel, be able to breathe, and have the possibility to change things up. These are some random pictures from my huge stack of inspiration images that I keep in hopes of magically transforming my house. Guidelines: deconstructed or industrial walls, heavy lamps, black, white, hints of color, no clutter, high quality wood and a combination of modern and worn out.

Mixing things

Two nice examples of mixing fabrics that pretty much everyone has hanging in their closet. A plaid or denim shirt, knits and leather. I like it! And after an intense month I just handed in my last paper for a while, which hopefully means I'm back to a more normal social and blogging life ;)

The DIY- pics aren't mine! From blog chic-steals

Usually when a catwalk collection sparks a wave of inspiration for high street brands and self-sewing projects, it's the more subtle details like this that are copied. You can count me in for leather details on pretty much anything, so a tutorial on chic-steals that just involved 1)measuring 2)cutting and 3)sewing, surely caught my attention. Unfortunately my skills with needle & thread go about as far as adding a button (I wish I had a sewing machine to practice!) So if you're not the crafty type - like yours truly - Zara created a version as well. And although it's a little more plain and a little less in quality, it sort of does the trick.

Carine Roitfeld has anounced to leave Vogue Paris. After 10 years of bringing us the best shoots, the most drool-worthy shoes and the most gorgeous models, she is ready to face new challenges. I guess even those with the most coveted and powerful jobs crave doing something different after a while and I'm curious to see who will be the new leading lady and what that will do to Paris Vogue... Who would you suggest? Rumor has it Carine will be involved with Tom Ford, I can't wait to see how that turns out!

Perfect Preen

Even though I probably wouldn't copy these exact outfits head to toe, I really like looking at these fresh, slightly messy looks from Preen's Resort 2011 collection. Preen is one of my all time favorite brands and this collection is a bit more androgynous than I'm used to seeing from them. It's lovely and I personally even prefer it over their minimal (but also stunning) Ready to Wear collection.

Pop up

This Italian Vogue shoot kept buzzing in my head because of the fresh pops of color and use of Dutch models (pic 1, 3 and 4). Move over Brazilians and Russian beauties; Dutch girls are hot! And when I ran in to it again on VanillaScented I fell in love even more so I had to share it. Which look would you copy?

Done with it

It's been so cold here lately, all I want to do is wear Dree Hemmingway's outfits and be done with it. And it doesn't help that I can't find the perfect chunky knits! All I want is thant big, tan jumper by Dries van Noten... I saw Ready to Fish sells something similar so I should definately look in to that.
