Outfit: In the city

 

This nude/cream caftan flows with every step I take, which makes it perfect for twirling around. So that's exactly what I did when taking it out to the city. I like the movement in the butterfly wings and skirt, and yet it still shows some shape because it's tight at the waist. Will definitely be taking this versatile piece with me on my holiday next month - I can't wait!

Outfit: Between the lines

I hold Isabel Marant personally accounted for creating a craze around cropped red leather pants. Finally I own a pair and I think it will be a wardrobe staple next fall. Didn't want to post this yet though, because I wore leather pants in my previous outfit as well but hey... Sometimes you just wear some of the same things. I'm already glad I managed to shoot a few outfit shots :) I've been working as an editor 5 days a week - an amazing experience - and doing everything blog related after work hours and on weekends. I'm basically running my own little business next to a fulltime job and last week was too hectic to shoot. Soon things will slow down a little and I'll find some balance between these two things I love doing :) For now I'll keep posting pretty much every day like I already do and thanks for always coming back!

To the point

It's been a while since I've last worn pointy heels, but these ones are becoming my go to shoes for events or dinners the past week and a half. It's crazy how we actually need to layer cardigans, jackets and jeans lately. There seems to be nothing left from the heat wave we had - it's nothing but clouds and rain. On the bright side, it does make it possible for me to wear my new leather pants in June... I like how they're cut just at the ankles and show a tiny peek of skin.

outfit: Out in Amsterdam

Amsterdam has quite a few hidden treasures and this old dock is one of them. It's totally deserted and painted over and you can really feel the old shipyard vibes there. It's where my boyfriend interns right now (not actually at the dock, but at the MTV building) and where I had dinner last night with my family to celebrate my 22nd birthday. Because I went to dinner straight after work I wasn't all dolled up, just a good pair of heels, a clutch and this beige and black knit. I think beige and black is such a chic color combination, and it works well with pretty much any bright color.

Summer shorts

Saturday was filled with activities, so I needed a look that would suit the different things on my agenda (like a meeting, shopping, a lunch date). So I opted for an easy outfit in white, cream, charcoal and black and a hint of orange. And I took my new COS sandals out for a spin. I bought those the day before and I love the simplicity, and the leather is extremely soft and thick. (I'm afraid I got them one a little too big though!)

Outfit: Ultraviolet

Silky tops in bright colors seem to become my wardrobe staple for spring. It all started with my neon green top (worn here) and last week I added this soft purple one from Modekungen (hard to resist on sale :P). The detail of the concealed buttons is something I personally love. Also... let me introduce you to my new Yves Saint Laurent clutch that I brought home from Paris last week. It feels so timeless and chic, and the size is just perfect for upcoming parties and events.

Outfit: Party time

When packing my bag for a short work related trip, I usually don't get experimental with clothes. I want to have a few options that I know I like and feel comfortable in. So that's why you've already seen this blouse and skirt a few posts back - nothing surprising there. I just paired it with my highest ankle boots, some gold jewelry, a clutch and leather jacket and voilà, I was out the door to the Diesel party at the phenomenal Manege de Grand Palais. Oh, and excuse the pictures, guys. It's not an outfit post, it's not a fashion journal post... It's just the best I've got to bring from a hotel room in just a few minutes, haha!

Outfit: Just another jacket

  

Yet another jacket made it's way in to my closet. A more dressier one this time, that I like to style casually with boyfriend style denim shorts or a pair of jeans. Which is exactly what I did when I went on a dinner date with my boyfriend this Saturday, wearing this. (Too bad my top got a bit wrinkled from sitting in a car for hours before. Oh, well...)

outfit: Last day in Paris

What I wore for a Paris lunch. More pictures below, after the jump!

Maybe these shots are not the most detailed, but they were taken in under 3 minutes, after lunch near the Eiffel Tower. The taxi was already waiting so it was down to a few lucky shots before takeoff. Anyway, this is what I wore on my last day in Paris. I only packed hand luggage, so just brought some basics like this cotton dress from COS and my suede lace up Jeffrey Campbell's. They always work for me, are chic, comfy and a total no brainer.

Some fabrics are classy and feminine in their own right and therefore don't need much else. Lace, silk and leather fall in that category in my opinion. So I decided to pair the three together. (Ok, ok, I cheated a little. The blouse isn't made out of real silk. I'm now on the lookout for a perfect shirt that is.)

New neon

After trying this bright top on for the third time in two weeks, I told myself 'enough, just get it already!' (Much to my frustration I already made a small stain on the very first day. Don't you just hate when that happens!) It's a bit more lime green than it shows in these pictures. But there will be plenty more shots showing it's true color.
