CHA sneak peek: rock-a-block stamping system

I am thrilled to introduce to a new product that is debuting at this CHA Winter Show!

Over the summer I discovered the Rock-a-Block stamping system by Crafter's Companion and I fell in love!! Never before had I been able to get a clear stamp impression every time I stamped. Large stamps with lots of empty space? no problem!! Usually I would have ink and blotches all over the place! well not anymore! Stamping an image on camera on TV?! No problem! Now I know I won't mess up!

claudine hellmuth studio line update

Thanks to Brenda Pinnick for using my new Claudine Hellmuth STUDIO products from Ranger on her blog. She did a great project showing how to use the Sticky Back Canvas to create moveable wall art! Check it out on her blog here!


I know so many of you are looking to find the paints! I have been getting tons of emails. Thank you so much for your patience! They are being shipped as we speak, I promise. You can check with your local craft stores to see if they will carry the line. If they aren't planning to carry it, maybe you can talk them into it ;)

The Somerset Studio Shoppe will carry the entire line (not online in their store yet) and Suze Weinberg is taking pre-orders from her store right NOW.

This is the list of the Michael's Craft stores that are carrying the Sticky Back Canvas as a test market. If it sells well at these stores they will bring it to others! Fingers crossed!

Only a handful of stores will carry it as a test run. Full list is posted below.

If they test it and it is a success then they may pick up the rest of my product line! (Fingers crossed)

If you do go to Michael's -- the placement should be over by the scrapbooking and paper craft aisles.

new studio goodies

I was feeling a little blue today, missing our house in Florida and then along came a surprise. Nothing brightens up my day like new art supplies!



What is it? It's a Metal Embossing kit from Walnut Hollow. This is a new kit that they have out, so new, I can't even find it on their web site. It comes with embossing tools and texture making tools to use with the metal. It looks very cool! I can't wait to try some Alcohol inks on the metal AND I want to try using the metal texture tools in beeswax. I'll let you know how it works out.



Also new to my studio is a whole stack of paper sent to me from Coredinations. I saw this paper at CHA and wanted to try it out. It has a color core so you can rip it and tear it and a new color will show through. Fun fun fun!!

I am slowly starting to get in the swing of things here in my new studio. I am still really tired from this move, so I'm trying to do a bit of work each day and stay on schedule until my energy returns --- which I hope will be very soon!!

I got the new issue of Belle Armoire today. It was delayed because it went to my old address in Orlando. I am still working on all those address changes! I was super excited to see 3 altered T's that I sent in featured. And even a photo of the editor Jenny Doh wearing one of them!!

I was thrilled to hear that the Shoppe at Somerset Studio will be carrying my new line of products with Ranger in September.

Also in print, I discovered that I have a little bloggy mention in the back of Jennifer Perkins new book The Naughty Secretary Club: a working girl's guide to handmade jewelry.

This is a super fun, color-filled book. I am jewelry impaired when it comes to making anything wearable, but Jen's snazzy book got my wheels turning. There are some ideas I can't wait to try! And maybe you remember how much Mabel likes Jen's jewelry? Here's a photo of Mabel sporting the scissor necklace from Jen's shop!

CHA last day!

It was the last day of the show! I did another round of demos and only had time to see the show for about 40 minutes at my lunch break. There was so much that I missed but maybe I'll have more time at the winter show. (yeah right!) I heard that the next CHA Summer show will be Orlando!! That is too funny. At least I'll be able to come down and visit my parents and maybe my Mom and Dad can even come and see the show too. That would be fun!

lookie! my new book!

This weekend I was browsing around on Amazon and I saw that my new book is now on there for preorder! I wonder how long it's been up there and I didn't even know! Just goes to show you, it's good to search around Amazon once in awhile!

Here's a link to the book on Amazon.com It's a little different from my other books. It's not even really a book in the usual way one thinks of a book. It's more of an idea jump starting kit with a card deck and a matching little book. It does not have techniques in it, but will be full of inspiration and exercises to get your ideas flowing, whether for scrapbooking, journaling or whatever project you are working on.

I am extra excited because it has LOADS of contributors! Donna Downey, Kal Barteski, Christina Lazar Schuler, Ashley Calder, Gen Simmonds, myself of course! and TWENTY SIX others! I can't wait for it to come out and I hope everyone will enjoy it!

Took some pics from my studio to share.........

Here's a new updated photo of one corner of my studio. Note my new Ott Lite. This new one has a really long arm which is great because it extends over my table. Perfecto!

A lovely side by side shot of moisturizer and magnetic paint. Who would have ever thought they would be together?

I added the moisturizer to my line up because I will be slathering it on all night tonight in an effort to make my hands look nice before the local PBS station comes here to do a little filming tomorrow. This stuff is amazing but I do think the name "Gloves in a Bottle" is unfortunate. It makes you think you are coating your hands with something to be removed later. When I first read the label I thought, it would be like a paraffin coating I would peel off when I was done painting. Am I the only person who thought this?? Trust me, this is not the case. This is a good moisturizer that will heal your paint covered hands. Ignore the icky sounding name.

Also in my studio is Magnetic Paint from Krylon! I can't wait to tell you what I have up my sleeve with this. I have to see if it works first!

And lookie what the mailman brought me! I can't wait to play with my new Xyron machine. I have never had one before and I am too excited! As you can see I have all sorts of ideas involving magnets! Note the magnet insert that I got to go with it ;)

big news!!

I have big news that I can finally share! It has been killing me keeping this a secret! Ok here goes!

I am super excited to announce that I am going to have a product line with Ranger Industries.

The line will be called Claudine Hellmuth Studio and will be unveiled this summer at the CHA Summer Show in Chicago! That's all I can reveal at this point so I'll have to keep you in suspense a little longer what it is all about.

It is incredibly thrilling to be working side by side with Ranger's chemists to create the products just how I want them to be! I can't wait to share more with you as it gets closer to the CHA Summer Show!!

sitting pretty poppets®!

I stayed up WAY too late tonight working on my new custom artwork section of my web site for the Sitting Pretty Poppets®. It's not done yet and not linked from anywhere else on my web site, but I thought I'd give you a sneak peek!

custom note cards now online

I posted a few weeks ago about my partnership with Anna Bella Stationery to create custom note cards from my commissioned artworks.

Well I was finally able to get it up on my web site. Hooray! Here are the details below, and you can view the page on my web site here.

HOW IT WORKS:
Commission me to create a custom artwork. Then, after it's finished you can go to Anna Bella Stationery to place your custom note card order. Anna Bella Stationery will coordinate with me to receive a high resolution digital file of your artwork. Then Anna Bella Stationery will send you several online proofs to view. Once approved, your cards will be printed on their signature linen stock with rounded corners and matching linen envelopes.

Atlanta Gift Show
